Lindy Barber
Barber described her youth as “playing every sport that I could get involved in,” accurately describing the early athletic careers of many fellow CrossFit participants. After playing two years of soccer at the University of Dayton, Barber eventually got involved in CrossFit. After collapsing during a workout, an MRI revealed she had three spinal conditions: scoliosis, spina bifida, and a fractured L5 vertebra (spondylolisthesis). Though told she would never compete again, Barber fought her way back and has now competed in multiple CrossFit Games.
